Lewes Neighbourhood Plan Open Day – Saturday 16 August 2014, 10am – 4pm

What is the Neighbourhood Plan all about?
Why participate?
Who will benefit?
Will my contribution matter?

Come and find out on Saturday 16 August

Venue: Lewes Town Hall
Time: 10am to 4pm

The main focus will be on interactive participation and hands on experience in shaping the future of Lewes into a vision for 20 years hence that will reflect our desires and dreams – and our hopes for future generations.

There will be a carousel of ideas to be considered:

Ecosystems, sustainability and energy
Tourism, economy and business
Community infrastructure

Facilitators will guide residents through interactive exercises to map and tease out crucial concerns and comments to feed into our Plan.

There will also be workshop sessions on ecosystem services to improve our understanding of the issues.

This is important because, if accepted, the plan will be a vital planning document that must be taken into account by Lewes Town Council, Lewes District Council, and the South Downs National Park Authority when making decisions on our behalf.

This is your chance to make history by contributing to the future of Lewes Town.

Please come and join us in the Town Hall on Saturday 16 August and have your say.

The Lewes Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group are looking for more steering group members who can commit to the process for the next 18 months. If you can represent any local organisation and would like to get involved, please contact the chair Susan Murray on 473912, or email susan2.murray(at)talktalk(dot)net
