Friends of Lewes Members’ tour of the House of Commons – Tuesday 1 December 2015

The MP for Lewes, Maria Caulfield, has offered a tour of the House of Commons to members of FoL. The date suggested is Tuesday, December 1st. The party can number up to 25.

To safely make the offered time of 11.15am, it appears to be necessary to catch the 9.18 train.

Robert Cheesman advises: The 9.18 gets to Victoria at 10.30.

Whilst senior railcards are valid on the 9.18 the cheapest tickets which are £11.75 return with a railcard are not and so you would have to pay £18.70, which is still a reduction off the peak fare.  If appropriate, it’s best to get a ticket to Victoria only and then use a bus pass to get around London.

If this appeals, please register an interest with the FoL Secretary, Marcus Taylor (via contact form, enquiries@friends-of-lewes.org.uk, or 01273 473098), who will provide you with more details nearer the time.
