Communication received from ESCC 7/9/26
In June 2026 and July 2026, we carried out an informal consultation about proposed changes to parking, waiting and loading restrictions in Lewes District.
We have considered all the feedback and have drawn up final proposals. These will be formally advertised in the Sussex Express on 11 September 2026 and copies of the advertised Notice will be displayed on street furniture, such as lamp columns, in affected areas.
The formal consultation opens on 11 September 2026 and closes on 2 October 2026.
Full details of all the proposed changes can be found at eastsussex.gov.uk/lewes3formal along with an online survey. Please look at this carefully and tell us your views by making a representation. In particular we would like to know:
Which road and map number you are commenting on.
Whether you support or object to the proposals and your reasons.
Any other comments you may have.
Please note that this is a new consultation, and that even if you responded to the informal consultation you will need to make a representation if you support or object to the formal proposals. For your representation to be fully considered you must make it in writing, and it must be received by the closing date of 2 October 2026.
