The Winter Lewes Speakers Festival 2015 – 4th-6th December 2015

The Winter Lewes Speakers Festival, which takes place from 4th to 6th of December 2015 brings together an excellent line-up. Amongst others:

Former Business Secretary Vince Cable and local MP Norman Baker discuss their times in office, and former Home Secretary Charles Clarke assesses former British Labour leaders.

Virginia Nicholson (niece of Virginia Wolfe) talks about life in the 1950’s for women.

John Pearson, who spent 6 months living with the infamous Kray twins as their ‘personal biographer’ speaks about his book ‘The Profession of Violence’ on which the film ‘Legend’ is based. Filmmaker Iain Overton presents on the impact of guns around the world, and BBC Foreign Correspondant, Andrew Hosken gives an inside account of the world of the terrorist group known as ‘ISIS’.
