SDNP/16/03918/ADV: 219 High Street. 3 fascia signs and 1 projecting sign for Post Office (Smiths).
Friends of Lewes consider this application presents an opportunity to reassess the scale of signage that is appropriate in the Conservation Area. The size of the letters proposed is too large and a more discrete sign would bring about an improvement to the street scene.

SDNP/16/04193/HOUS: 56 North Way. Erection of a two storey side extension and single storey front porch.
Friends of Lewes consider the visual impact of this major extension on the street scene would be less dominant if the front face and extended hipped roof were set back from the existing house. This would differentiate the proposed extension from the existing house and create an extension that is subsidiary to it, as explained and illustrated in the 2010 Lewes District Council Residential Extensions Planning Advice Note.

SDNP/16/03972/LIS 21 Sun Street.   Replace window and door.
SDNP/16/04009/HOUS 23 Prince Edward’s Road.   Demolish extensions and erect new rear and side extension.
