The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) is developing a Local Plan which will contain the policies that set the course for development in the National Park.
This plan will incorporate, where appropriate, the SDNPA and Lewes District Council (LDC)’s Joint Core Strategy, on which they are currently consulting the public. When completed, this will lay out housing development and other strategies for the Lewes District.
The SDNPA have now published their preferred options for their Local Plan policies and are asking for feedback from the public by 28 October 2015.
For those concerned about Old Malling Farm, this land is included as a development site in the current modifications to the SDNPA and LDC Joint Core Strategy (and would be incorporated in the Local Plan if approved), so the public consultation is another opportunity to comment on this subject as well as others.
