The South Downs National Park Authority is developing a Local Plan which will contain the policies that set the course for development in the National Park – putting landscapes first while still serving the needs of communities and the local economy. It will sit alongside the Partnership Management Plan in shaping the future of the South Downs National Park. When it’s adopted (expected to be 2017) it will be the first time that a single set of planning policies have been applied across the entire National Park.
The SDNPA published their preferred options for these policies and have been seeking public responses in a consultation which ended at noon on 28 October 2015.
