A Neighbourhood Plan can set out a vision, aims, policies and proposals for future development of a neighbourhood. If adopted, the Plan forms part of the statutory development framework for the area so that the local authority and planning inspectors will have to take it into account when making planning decisions.
The Lewes Neighbourhood Plan draft planning policies consultation report of November 2015 sets out a series of emerging draft policies for the neighbourhood plan, based on the consultation results to date.
The views of the community are now being sought to ensure that these draft policies are both right and appropriate for Lewes.
